I’ve been quiet in the blogosphere for a while! I find the pace of life busy and time short. My Instagram profile @gwlanblog is relatively up to date but I rarely get time to sit at a computer and update here. Knitting has been occurring, some projects completed, others are hibernating but I thought I’d share some completed socks!
I made these happy socks for my lovely Australian friend (read sister) Wendy for Easter. Every Christmas I think about knitting Wendy a pair of socks as a gift – then I remember that it is Summer in the Southern Hemisphere and woolly socks may not be an ideal gift! This year I decided I would knit socks for Easter so they would be ready in time the Australian Autumn. This yarn is by Opal and is their new-ish Claude Monet inspired range. I found it really difficult to choose in the shop between all the lovely colours in the range but I’m glad I chose this ‘chrysanthemum’ colour way – the yellow is sunny and happy!
